They're not like the others who get all the fame.

An ode to two of my childhood heroes, the late Captain Lou Albano and character actor Danny Wells. With no disprespect intended to Charles Martinet--who I've had the pleasure of meeting in person and is a tremendously nice guy--Lou Albano's voice is the REAL voice of Mario, and I always loved the way Danny's voice contrasted with Lou's and made Luigi sound like a bit of a "wise guy". What I always found wierd was that live action Luigi was a tough scrapper, while 'toon Luigi was a craven little coward, and live action Mario was a clueless, lovable oaf while 'toon Mario was a take-charge leader.

I remember this! God, it was... terrible. In the greatest way possible. Great picture, I love the expressions.

I very much like the background's vibrancy. Good job!

Luigi is mere skin and bones which is a little weird. -But weird is appreciated by some people.

I think the brother's personalities changed from Brooklyn when they made it to the Mushroom Kingdom. They were goofs before but when their life was at stake under new circumstances, it forced a change. Mario turned for the better being the resourceful one and Luigi chickened out. Ya know, live or death can bring out the best or worst in ya! I'm a Mario personality aficionado... of sorts. I would know!:)

I'd never thought of it in that light. When I was little, I never cared to think too deeply about it but you start kind of noticing little things once you get older and are seeing it through your kid's eyes.

Sorry. Sarcasm doesn't come through sometimes. I loved the show, but watching it with my kids now--and being artistically inclined--the animation is barely passable. Still holds a special place in my heart, though
